1. (0)!=1, So 5 (0)!=1+1+1+1+1=5

Then 5!=120

2. Let the 1st candle be burnt by lighting two sides of the candle. So it’ll glow for 45 minutes.

After that light the second candle and it’ll glow for 90 minutes. So totally 90+45=135 minutes.

3. 354 (Since in all other numbers the left digit+right digit= the middle number)

4. Â Take water in 3 liter bottle and pour it in 5 liter bottle.

Then do the same once again and keep the remaining one liter in 3 liter bottle.

Now empty the 5 liter bottle. Then pour that one liter in the 5 liter and fill 3 liter once again by using 3 liter bottle.

So now there is 4 liter of water in 5 liter bottle.

5. Â (a) 2

**Explanation**

23) 1056 (45 92 ------ 136 115 ------ 21 ------

Required number = (23 – 21)

= 2.

6. (c)9944

**Explanation**

The largest 4 digit number is 9999

88)9999(113 88 (-) ----- 119 88 (-) ----- 319 264 (-) ----- 55 ------

Required number =9999-55 = 9944

7.(d) 240

**Explanation**

Let x be the total No. of students,

0.7x+0.8x-144=0.9x (i.e No of students passed atleast one subject)

0.7x+0.8x-0.9x=144

0.6x = 144

x = 240

8. Rs.38000

**Explanation**

Let the salary of Raju and Ram be Rs.2x and 3x respectively

=2x+4000/3x+4000=> 40/57

57(2x+4000)=40(3x+4000)

=>6x=68000

=>3x=34000

Ram’s New Salary=34000+4000=38000

9. 0.2

**Explanation**

There are total 450 rooms.

Out of which 299 room number starts with either 1, 2 or 3. (as room number 100 is not there) Now out of those 299Â rooms only 90 room numbers end with 4, 5 or 6.

Ans : The probability is 90/450 i.e. 1/5 or 0.20

10. Â (a) 213444

L.C.M. of 21, 36, 66 = 2772.

Now, 2772 = 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 7 x 11

To make it a perfect square, it must be multiplied by 7 x 11.

So, required number = 2^{2}Â x 3^{2}Â x 7^{2}Â x 11^{2}Â = 213444
