Gtalk Formatter : A Freeware For The Gtalkers
Most of us who use Windows love the Google’s IM Client — Google Talk (GTalk) to chat with our buddies and make audio calls. Some of use the same on Gmail but little did we know that, Google Talk supports various formatting tags which can make your text bold and italic or a combination of both which can make your instant messages look different. Of course, Google Talk doesn’t have any buttons or toolbars to help do that easily but you can format them using simple tricks such as enclosing the text between ( * ) to make them bold and between ( _ ) to make them italicized.
- *hello* would display as hello
- _hello_ would display as hello
- *_hello_* would display as hello
Also, Google Talk supports a wide range of smilies. But most of us don’t use these techniques since they are not very user friendly and some even tend to forget these tricks. For those kind of people, I bring the Gtalk Formatter.
Well, What is it?
The Gtalk Formatter is a simple tool in which you can type your instant messages and format them into Gtalk compatible text which will render perfectly when your buddy views them. It also comes with all the emoticons (along with animation as seen in Gmail) supported by Gtalk and therefore you can easily insert multiple emoticons at once. The ‘Space Enabler’ button activates the space between the text, if you don’t want them, you can click on it to go red, i.e Deactivate it.
